SD-2M Virgin YG8 Carbide – Silver Brazed Semi-Finished Blank
The SD-2M is a semi-finished carbide blank made from virgin YG8 tungsten carbide with silver-brazed construction. YG8 is a standard grade containing 8% cobalt, offering good toughness and wear resistance for rotary burr applications. Virgin material means it is produced from new, unrecycled raw materials, ensuring consistent quality and reliable performance during custom grinding and final use.

The carbide tip is securely joined to the steel shank using silver brazing, providing a strong and durable bond that withstands the stresses of custom tooth grinding and everyday operation. This blank comes pre-shaped to the SD series profile, saving you time in the initial forming process while giving you full control over the final cut geometry, tooth pattern, and coating.
