The SD-3ZM D1009 is a semi-finished carbide preform manufactured from YG8 grade tungsten carbide, featuring a silver-brazed construction. YG8 contains 8% cobalt, providing good toughness and wear resistance for general-purpose rotary burrs. The silver brazing process securely joins the carbide tip to the steel shank, creating a strong and durable bond that withstands the stresses of tooth grinding and everyday use.
